I want to share a wonderful home design and decorating website I’ve discovered: www.houzz.com. As the site reports, it’s replaced tearing out and saving all those magazine pages from home decorating magazines. Here’s a description from their Facebook page:
“Welcome! Join our community of homeowners, design enthusiasts and home design professionals (Architects, Designers, Builders, Landscapers, and more) and gain inspiration for your next home project!
Houzz is a community of home design enthusiasts from around the world. It’s the online version of cutting pages out of magazines and stuffing them in a folder – but much easier for search, save, and share.
On the Houzz platform: Design professionals showcase their portfolios, sharing their work with a community dedicated to home and landscape design. 50,000+ professionals have uploaded more than 300,000 inspiring photographs, making Houzz the Internet’s largest database of design and decorating ideas.
Homeowners collect their favorite photos, find design professionals in their areas, upload photos of their homes and gardens, and swap tips and questions with other members. 100,000+ Idea books have been created by Houzz members, and new ones are added every minute. It’s easy to create an account and start collecting your own favorite home photos.”
The site has been touted by a number of magazines, the Today show, the New York Times, etc.
Hope you enjoy yourself looking at the site!
